DOVER & EAST KENT SCOTTISH SOCIETY
LOCHS AND GLENS TATTOO TRIP 2009
Just you drive the coach !

Graham did a special poster to commemorate the trip.
The drivers were okay about it once they realised it was only stuck on with blue-tak !
In order to help celebrate Homecoming Scotland 2009, the committee decided to organise
a special trip to Scotland to take in the famous Edinburgh Tattoo. Iain Farweather reserached
this and found that Lochs and Glens had a Coach Holiday trip tailored to the Tattoo and was very
reasonable priced. At first numbers were fast approaching 20 but unfortunately some had to
drop out but 11 members did actually make the trip, including over half the committee!
It was a most enjoyable trip albeit that we had to leave at 5 am and suffer quite an arduous
coach trip to the Trossachs 14 hours getting there and 13 hours back (somoene said it is always
quicker getting back from Scotland due to Gravity (England below Scotland on Maps etc) )
so if you don't like Coach journeys then perhaps this trip is not for you.
Anyway, food was good, accomodation good and the scenery in the heart of the Trossachs was
breathtaking. We had trips to Edinburgh (shopping, sightseeing and Tattoo), Stirling, Pitlochry,
Inversnaid, Loch Lomond Cruise, Moffat, Aberfoyle. Do you know there is an Edinburgh Wool Shop
at every corner ?
I am showing some pics here as a sort of pictogram or pictorial diary of our trip.
